  1. So what's the deal with Devon? Looks like they want to bail out from what I've heard, but these charts indicate that they don't seem to be trying very hard. For the metrics that indicate success in this play, they are failing. Are they just being too conservative? Wanting a bigger return? Too risk averse?

    I know folks with land leased to Devon who are pretty disappointed that they don't seem to give a rats ass about trying to make a go of the TMS. these charts show that they aren't doing the things that have led some of the other drillers to success.

  2. Doug,
    Devon's technical approach to the play remains a real mystery. Some say that their drilling department came from the Gulf of Mexico and didn't have the correct "cost mindset" for onshore. Their approach was incredibly timid from a drilling and completion standpoint. Definitely baffling because their acreage position is good.

  3. So how many of these TMS wells are reaching production? I don't have a good sense of the total number of TMS wells drilled versus the total number producing, but am interested in seeing those metrics.
